The Story of Tea

Tea has been enjoyed for nearly 5,000 years where, as legend has it, a Chinese Emperor was drinking a cup of hot water when a tea leaf accidentally dropped into the cup. The result was a pleasant and refreshing flavoured water surprise. Tea is truly a global drink, almost as popular as water, which can be enjoyed both hot and cold.

There are many different types of tea. They can be divided into two major categories, Black (Orange Pekoe) and Green teas. Both types come from the Camellia Sinensis plant, but they differ in flavour and colour because black teas are fermented and green teas are steamed to prevent fermentation.
